Our Mission
About Us
Small Talk Pediatric Therapy Center first opened its doors in 2012 and since then has become renowned as the leading provider in quality pediatric therapy services throughout each of our service locations. Founded by Speech-language Pathologist Melanie Canada, Small Talk began as a local option for speech therapy services. Since that time, we have expanded our services to include occupational therapy, physical therapy, and reading intervention across three service locations. At Small Talk, we emphasize individual attention and specialized care in a warm and inviting setting with a non-clinical feel, which is what we feel makes us stand out in the community.
We cater to quality of care over quantity of care, with therapists in charge of their own schedule. Small Talk offers individualized, family-based treatment to our clients and encourages connection with families to maximize growth, with treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client. Our office provides speech, occupational and physical therapies, with opportunities to work together with other disciplines for a holistic approach to treatment. Our reading intervention services provide one-on-one, customized instruction tailored to that child's needs in the areas of reading, phonological awareness skills, handwriting, comprehension, and more.
